Wolves and Turkeys

As promised I am sharing my thoughts on The Twilight Saga: New Moon movie. Let me start off by saying the special effects were much better than the first movie. In my opinion the first movie had terrible effects and a terrible a script. New Moon fallowed the book a lot more closely. Although the acting was something to be desired, Chris Wietz did a wonderful job in bringing the book to life. The make up looked a lot better this time around, in twilight I felt that all the make up was to over the top and the Cullens stood out dramatically from the rest of the people. In addition to having better make up the wardrobe improved in the second film. Bella still wears the over sized tan jacket but at least her basic clothes look better. I also noticed that Alice’s hair looks longer and Esme’ hair looks shorter and lighter.
At of all the actors I have to say Taylor Lautner did the best job. Kristen Stewert fail to show adequate emotion. Taylor’s appearance had definitely changed from Twilight, he is much bulkier and you can tell he put in a lot of time at the gym. The werewolves spend more the half of the movie shirtless, which for me, made up for the fact that edward was missing.
There were two major disappointments for me in New Moon. I personally love Emmett and wish that he had more hen two lines, he is the funniest member of the Cullen family and I was disappointed to see that more lines were not created for him. I guess I will have to wait for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to see more of Emmett. One of my favorite scene from the book was missing in the movie. After Bella’s life is spared by the Volutori she is suppose to be sitting on top of Edward lap in hysterics, at that point in the book Bella still dose not know that Edward didn’t mean what he said he he left. When I read the book I found this to be one of the sweetest moments because she is still really afraid of being killed and is scared to find comfort in Edward. I was really dispointed that the movie skipped it and went to the time Bella is sent free to when she wakes up back in forks. I found all that time in between really valuable (seeing them on the plane, seeing them reunited in the airport). I also would have loved to see Edward carry Bela in to the house and have Charlie tell him he is not allowed. Instead in the movie Edward tells Bella he was lieing right when he sees her alive. I guess that in order for the movie to be 125 minuets (or however long it is) certain cuts had to be made. Aside from one of my favorite parts missing from the book the movie was great. I cannot wait for Eclipse, I hope that the director has done a good job like Chris Wietz.
I would love for Chris Wietz to be the one to direct Breaking Dawn because he has done such a great job at making the movie a visual version of the book.
On a final note of my review I wish to add that I hated the way they casted the characters from twilight I really would have love to see Nina Dobrev casted as Bella and AnnaLynne McCord casted as Rosealie and someone else for Jacob, I feel Taylor Lautner would have bee better as werewolf Seth.
So Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, I feel it came so early this year. My vacation plans are to go to a movie tonight with my church’s youth group, were seeing The Blind Side. I have a good feeling I will be crying since I almost cried during the promo I saw. Tomorrow I’m going to my aunts house for Thanksgiving, she lives about 25 minuets away. My sister and I are sleeping over her house. I’m excited to spend the night there with my 4 year old cousin Samantha. Last year when I slept over her house Samantha woke me up at 5:00 AM to tell me the garbage truck was out side picking up the garbage. The day after Thanksgiving (black friday) were going shoping! In case you don’t know black firday is the day after Thanksgiving when all the stores have huge sales. Along with big sales come big store lines, but I love to shop so the day at the mall with Samantha and my aunt and my sister should be fun. Saturday I plan on going to church and then Sunday I will work on my research paper for The Great Gatsby and my History D.B.Q.
Happy Thanksgiving!

We don’t decorate our house! We decorate our tree, but we have so many decorations that our tree is more of decorations than tree. XD
Google Wave is pretty good. They’re still testing it out so it’s a bit dodgy at the moment, but it’ll be great later on.
I love your new layout; I see you are using WordPress too.
I haven’t seen New Moon. Or Twilight. But I think I recall that moment in the book where Bella is in hysterics. Overall, from what I’ve heard from people, apparently New Moon is better and more well done.
I really liked Emmett in the book too! Two lines? That isn’t very interesting at all especially when you expected more.
I’m a little upset that the director of the movie or someone working on this movie, wants Robert and Kristen to play in another movie for a different book. I think it’s so wrong – they don’t suit the characters at all and I would hate for them to assign them for that.

And about Black Friday – I wish we had that here! We don’t have that in Australia… and I wish I could pick up things for a bargain.
Good luck on your research paper – I love The Great Gatsby. One of my favourite books.

I loved New Moon. Jacob was mega hot! I am glad Edward wasn’t too much in this movie. Needed a break from his moodiness lol.
